About Nectar

Nectar Sleep sells a memory foam mattress made with surprisingly high-quality materials considering the low price point. The Nectar mattress comes compressed in a box, like many of its memory foam competitors, like Casper or Leesa, which makes for very easy delivery and set up.

The Nectar demonstrates very impressive contouring. Made with a Tencel cooling cover, 4 layers of premium memory foam, and multiple contouring gel layers, the mattress not only does a great job of hugging the body, it has great breathability. As a result, it offers both softness and support, and sleeps substantially cooler than a lot of memory foam beds out there.

Like most memory foam beds, it is very durable and should last you at least 7-8 years. At such a low price, the Nectar is extremely affordable for a memory foam bed, and you may decide that paying more for another bed-in-a-box alternative is not worth it.

Nectar has a great Side Sleeper Guide on their site which will help determine if Nectar is the right choice for you. And read on for our take on the Nectar mattress.

METRICSRATINGDETAILS
Noise EXCELLENTThe Nectar makes essentially no noise at all when you apply pressure or move around on it.
Durability GREATThe density of each foam layer of the Nectar really holds up over time. It is just as durable, if not more durable than your typical memory foam bed.
Huggability GREATThe multiple layers of foam in the Nectar make it very good at conforming to a sleeper’s body, which can be great for relieving pressure on various parts of the body and providing pain relief to those areas.
Motion Isolation GREATAs with most memory foams, Nectar does a great job of absorbing movement, which makes it very good at preventing your or your partner’s movements from disturbing one another.
Temperature GOODLike pretty much all memory foam beds, Nectar retains heat/sleeps pretty hot. However, the tencel cover and gel layer make the Nectar more breathable, and therefore slightly cooler than many memory foam mattresses.
Edge Support GOODThe Nectar has slightly better edge support than many memory foams, especially at such a low price range, due to its dense foam.
Odor AVERAGEMany customers report significant off-gassing smells from the Nectar and most every memory foam bed, especially those that come vacuum sealed. The smell should fade away within a few days.
Sex AVERAGEMost memory foam beds may not have the bounce and responsiveness that some couples find essential for sex. The Nectar mattress has very little bounce.
Is Nectar the right mattress for me?

Judging the characteristics of a mattress is a subjective process – everyone has a different sleeping experience on different mattresses and their own interpretation of firmness, support, etc. Your own comfort and support are perhaps the most critical things you need to consider when choosing the right mattress for you.

We think the Nectar mattress should provide an enjoyable sleep experience for people with any sleeping style. Whether you are a side, back, stomach or combination sleeper, your needs will likely be met by the Nectar. The Nectar is a medium to firm, supportive memory foam and so should be especially suited for sleepers who are on the heavier side and who like sleeping on their back.

Trial & Warranty

Delivery

Nectar mattresses come compressed and vacuum sealed. They will be delivered free to the 48 mainland states, and fees apply to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. You can also opt to pay $149.00 for white glove delivery, and for another $20.00 ($169.00 total), Nectar will remove your old mattress for you.

Bottom Line

Nectar is relatively low cost for a memory foam bed. It’s priced considerably lower than competitors like Tuft & Needle, Casper and Leesa, but is not at all lacking in quality materials and construction. If you are in search of a great mattress that is inexpensive, this is a great choice for you. With unmatched quality at this price, the Nectar is truly an amazing value, which is why it’s #2 on our list of memory foam beds! If you’d rather spring for a more luxurious memory foam mattress that costs a bit more, it doesn’t get any better than the Loom & Leaf.
